Very nice book. Has some similarities with the work of Ian M. Banks, but not so many as to be annoying. One of the things I like are MacLeod's political views, which clearly set him apart from most other authors.
I liked his babbages (mechanical nanomachines?), his smart matter suits and the whole concept of viruses (in the computing sense) spreading using radio waves.
